Garden
Of Light - Walk The World

27 and Sunday 28 February 2010
For
two nights in February 2010, visitors were be able to walk through the
extensive grounds of the University Of Dundee Botanic Gardens and
experience a spectacular display of sound with light.
Taking
inspiration from the impressive collections of plants from around the
world. Areas of the garden were themed to reflect and recreate some of the sounds
of the continents and cultures of the world. South American music filled
the glasshouses, imagery including hieroglyphics could be picked out in
the Garden Of Evolution, whilst beats from the Himalaya flowed through
the Asia section of the garden.
Interactive
areas allowed children to take control of the light shows, with hands on
elements such as joysticks, to more simple vibration, motion or voice
activated elements
the
Garden Of Light Team would like to express a big thank you all those who
turned out to see the show and help support Dundee's Botanic Garden.
