Garden Of Light - Walk The World - February 2010 For two nights in February 2010, the team transformed exhibits within the Botanic Garden in Dundee, complete with a world theme and interactive displays where the visitors themselves influenced the show. With a significant increase in visitor numbers over the previous year, the event has done much to meet its primary aim of raising awareness of the Botanic Garden. Photographers in particular flocked to the event to test their skills and photos of the event can now be seen on a number of photo sharing websites.
Light @ Howff - On a Storyteller's Night - November 2009 As part of the Winter Light Night event in Dundee, Designer Stephen Page transformed the Howff graveyard in Central Dundee. Installations included an array of illuminations, plus static and animated projections featuring the natural landscape of the site, the surrounding buildings and of course the gravestones and tombs. The Howff represents more than just a graveyard - it's a place rich in history, having been a religious site, a meeting place for the city trades, and still showing evidence of the old city wall. To illustrate the history, four actors from DBS productions delivered short monologues to visitors on the night. The event opened at 6pm and operated until 9:30pm, with over 2500 people attending the event, making it one of the most popular events of the evening.
Mortuus Silva: October 2009 Commissioned by DBS Productions and Sundogs - ScotsM and The Electric Company were involved in providing technical support and lighting design for this performance which blended visual and aural art installations with theatrical performance. The installation was led by Designer Stephen Page working in cooperation with John-David Henshaw and Annie Marrs to create the visual impact of the event.
Garden Of Light: February 2009: Click here The first Garden Of Light event took place in the University Of Dundee Botanic Gardens for one night in February 2009. The Gardens played host to audience members as young as three to as mature as ninety-three and was met with much acclaim for highlighting the content of this garden in the heart of Dundee City in an atmospheric Light and Sound Show.
